We view all attempts to educate, promote healing, and support the economic stability of individuals and communities as prevention strategies. To that end, we support organizations who already do this work to incorporate conversations about DGBV and skill building around healthy conflict and communication. We promote strategies that will not cause further harm to communities in their attempt to help.
Green Jobs Career Fair
Are you interested in learning about green jobs? Would you like to connect with local employers and training providers? Attend the Green Jobs Career Fair on Wednesday, June 3 at Joan Lorentz Park, 449 Broadway, 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.! This free event is open to Cambridge teens (ages 14 and older) and adult residents who want to explore local green job pathways.

Raymond Park Renovation Project
Raymond Park, located at 106 Raymond Street in Neighborhood Nine, is scheduled for renovations beginning in November 2025. Planned improvements include: Improved circulation and more accessible pathways New playground equipment An expanded basketball court Drainage improvements and rain gardens Additional seating and gathering areas New trees and plantings Learn more about the community and design process here.
Evening Story Time
We invite children and their grown-ups to join us for our monthly evening story time event. This program will run for 20-25 minutes, with songs, stories and rhymes. No registration is required. Tween STEAM (Main Library)
Interested in technology and art? Join Tween STEAM to learn how to use circuits to make light up cards, build LEGO cities, or use brush bots to paint abstract art. Fandom Days: Minecraft

I'm a curious person who loves to learn from nature, from other people (like you!), and through meditation. I've been a teacher and a mental health counselor and I live in Somerville with my partner and our cat. This event is intended for teens ages 14-18. No registration required.
