To celebrate Arbor Week 2026 (May 4-8), Public Works is creating a Notable Trees StoryMap, and we invite you to help shape it. Share a description, poem, love letter, or other reflection about your favorite City tree.

Join the Collins Branch Library in collaboration with the Cambridge Climate Leaders Initiative for a monthly discussion of a climate-related topic. Each month the group will discuss a book on the topic at hand then hear about a related local program or initiative and how you can take action. Topic: Regenerative Possibilities Book: Not Too Late: Changing the Climate Story from Despair to Possibility - edited by Rebecca Solnit & Thelma Young Lutunatabua Meetings will be held on the fourth Thursday of each month from 6-7:30 p.m. Copies of the book will be available at the Collins Branch during library hours. Inman Street from Hampshire St to Broadway, is included in the City’s Five-Year Plan for sidewalk and street reconstruction. Come join City staff on Wednesday, April 15, 2026 for an In Person Community Meeting.

Expand the City’s bike safety education offerings by providing learn-to-bike and beginner urban cycling workshops for adults. More educational opportunities will empower more people to feel safe and comfortable using bikes to get around the city.
