CANCELLED - Middle Grade Mystery Book Group (O'Connell/Virtual)
Our monthly Middle Grade Mystery book group is for kids aged 10-14. Check out a copy of the book beforehand, or download it from the Libby app. Our January book is The Sherlock Society by James Ponti. This book group will meet virtually and in person at the O'Connell Branch. Please register below if you would like to attend virtually. The Community Benefits Advisory Committee (CBAC) is a volunteer group of community members who work together to make recommendations to the City Manager for the approval and awarding of grant agreements with nonprofit organizations for the provision of Community Benefits. Information on Recent COVID-19 Cases & Trends in Cambridge
COVID-19 trends in Massachusetts and in Cambridge have been moving in the right direction since the peak of the Omicron surge in January. Recently, Cambridge has seen a small uptick in COVID-19 cases. A review of these cases indicates that this uptick is attributable to cases affiliated with institutions of higher education in the city. While cases in the community have been decreasing steadily, higher ed cases have been increasing.
Cambridge Supports Meet Your Neighbor Days Events
As part of the initiative, the City is encouraging residents to introduce themselves and engage with their neighbors. Residents can submit their events to the online Meet Your Neighbors Day map. Hosts are only limited by their imagination!
Community Development Department
The Community Development Department (CDD) produces a wide variety of maps for its own use and as a source of information for the public. Topics range over wide area, covering everything from the locations of farmers markets to parks to zoning. You will find a number of web maps built directly into the CDD web pages where you can go to locations of interest throughout the City, focus on a specific topic through one of these interactive maps, or you can use the map gallery links to PDFs and other documents.

Annual Spring Community Ride May 20
The 2023 Spring Ride on May 20 will take you past sites of internet and neural network history while utilizing portions of the bicycle network as a demonstration of what the full network will bring. Participants will begin gathering outside the Cambridge Public Library Main Branch at 9:00 a.m. and depart promptly at 9:30 a.m.
LGBTQ+ Friendly Housing Task Force Survey
The purpose of this survey is to hear from community members about their experiences and their ideas and hopes for LGBTQ+ friendly housing and spaces in Cambridge. This survey is open to any LGBTQ+ person who has lived in Cambridge or currently lives in Cambridge. Survey responses are anonymous. The survey results will be used to inform the recommendations provided by the LGBTQ+ Housing Task Force. The survey will be open February 6-16, 2024.
