Annual Housing Stock Update 2024
CDD has completed its annual update to the stock of affordable housing units in the city. There are now 8,931 affordable housing units in the city, a net increase of 340 affordable units from the 2023 total of 8,591 units.

MBTA Red Line Closures
The MBTA’s Track Improvement Program aims to eliminate all speed restrictions on the Red Line and to bring the tracks to a state of good repair. Work on the Red Line will result in closures, and the City of Cambridge will update this page whenever a new closure is expected.
