Cambridge Launches Separated Bike Lane Project on Main Street
The City of Cambridge plans to install quick-build separated bike lanes on Main Street between Massachusetts Avenue and Portland Street in 2023 and will launch the project with a virtual community meeting and in-person open house in March.
September Traffic Impacts
The City of Cambridge is notifying residents, businesses, and visitors of upcoming street closures, construction, and traffic impacts in late August and early September for back-to-school, the Feast of Saints Cosmas and Damian, and two other community events.
2015 Site Monitoring Report
Highlights include: a proposed wet meadow restoration project in Weston, ongoing construction and improvements along Route 2 and 128 that will result in 5 new stormwater treatment and spill containment basins, improvements to 8 existing basins along Route 128, and the creation of vegetated swales in the Route 2 median.

Install new water fountain/bottle-fillers at up to 10 parks that lack drinking water fixtures. This will ensure that more residents can enjoy free, clean, drinking water at their local park, no matter which neighborhood they call home.

Summer Reading: Storytelling with Tony Toledo (Main)
Tales from Toledo, Storyteller Tony Toledo that is. Once upon a time...THE END. You won’t believe what happens in the middle! From "What's in that House?" to "Give me back my Diamond Button!" the middle will be full of fun. Join us for a lively storytelling program for children and their caregivers. Tony Toledo has been telling stories to pay his rent since the end of the 20th Century. Tony has visited many libraries, told many stories, and passed out many riddle bookmarks. Tony grew up in Ohio, served in the Army, bicycled from Oregon to Virginia, sampled Law School, hosts his annual Corn Party In Beverly and loves peach pie more than chocolate cake. Funding for Summer Reading has been generously provided by the City of Cambridge, Cambridge Public Library Foundation and Friends of the Cambridge Public Library.

Gold Star Pool
Gold Star Pool, located at 123 Berkshire Street, is open every summer for Cambridge residents to enjoy open swim. The facility has two ADA-compliant pools: a Beginner Pool (maximum depth of 3-6 ft.) and a Lap Pool.

Wellness for Older Adults: Tai Chi Paradigm - Beginner (Valente)
Join us in this twelve-week Tai Chi Paradigm practice, which focuses on the mind and body connection. Tai Chi is a fluid sequence of movements choreographed in a low impact routine. Sifu Mynor Diaz has been learning and teaching Tai Chi classes for over 20 years. This is an in-person event at the Valente Library. Due to the popularity of Sifu Diaz's classes, we expect participants to attend all sessions and participation in this program will be decided by lottery. To enter the lottery, please register for the waitlist below. This waitlist will constitute the pool from which 15 names will be drawn randomly. Registration will open Friday, February 7 at 9AM and close Friday, February 21 at 5PM. Participants selected will be notified on Saturday, February 22.
