Challenge your family or meet new friends over board games in the Community Room at Valente. The library will supply games and snacks. No registration is required for this drop-in event. This event is recommended for children ages 5 and up, with their caregivers. Contact the library at 617-349-4015 for more information.

Many of the parks in Mid-Cambridge will soon need repair or replacement. We would like to work together with neighbors to create a plan for these parks and open spaces. By working together, we can make sure future park updates and plans meet the needs of our community & neighborhood.

Join us for a chess challenge. Players of all skill levels and all ages are welcome to participate. Chess sets will be provided, but feel free to bring your own if you prefer. This is not an instructional class, but rather a gathering for individuals who want to play and test their skills against other members of the community. There's no need to register in advance - simply drop by and challenge yourself to improve your mastery of this classic game! Street cleaning resumes on Wednesday, April 1 for the 2026 season. Just like last year, vehicles will not be towed during street cleaning operations. However, it's essential for residents to move their vehicles according to the posted street cleaning schedule to ensure thorough cleaning of our City streets. Parking tickets of $100 will be issued to those who do not move their vehicles.

Support students and teachers in an English as a Second Language class at a Community Learning Center (CLC) satellite location by purchasing Chrome Books, a projector, and a portable screen to enhance their learning experience. This class has been funded to be held at least for the next 4 years.

State traffic laws related to pedestrians

Cambridge has protocols in place to respond to fatal or serious traffic crashes. They include an enhanced Safety Audit Program and data analysis.

Shayla Tate of M.U.D.D. Flower Yoga leads us through a 60-minute outdoor evening flow. Registration is preferred but not required. The Library will not provide any materials - please bring your own mat and whatever items are in your practice. In case of inclement weather, the event will take place in the Community Room.
