The public is invited to come hear from each of the finalists in the Cambridge City Manager search process. The finalists will present their vision for the City, answer questions, and meet members of the public. This event will be televised on 22-CityView.

What's hot & cold & read all over? The O'Neill Branch Library's new HVAC system! Bring a hot or cold dish to share as we celebrate community and our new heating and cooling system. We'll provide a hot fudge sundae bar, plates, napkins, and cutlery. Library staff will also be on hand to ask how we can be the best library for you. Tell us how you use our collections, technology, programs, services, and spaces. Share what library services have the biggest impact on you. Your feedback will help us improve services and set priorities for the coming years.

Join us for our Halloween celebration with a special appearance from Professor Bugman! His "Spooky Bones and Creepy Crawlies" program focuses on comparative skeletal anatomy. We will handle and pass around real animal bones, skulls and skeletons while talking about what bones are, what they do, and how to tell them apart, and learning more about the animal they came from. Then, we'll dive in and compare this to the exoskeletons of arthropods, focusing on a selection of our creepier bugs. Prof. Bugman will begin at 4:30. Treats provided and costumes encouraged! This program is for children and their caregivers.

This spring, the Cambridge Early Childhood Math Group is kicking off the Math is Everywhere campaig, a social media campaign to help Cambridge caregivers and young children understand that math isn't just for school. It's everywhere, and it can be a lot of fun!

This month's book: A Merry Little Meet Cute by Julie Murphy and Sierra Simone Audience: Teens and Adults. If you read romance (or want to start), this group is for you! Reading Interests: This group will explore the burgeoning genre of contemporary romance. Example selections include: Honey and Spice by Bolu Babalola and Mistakes Were Made by Meryl Wilsner. How to get the print book: Copies of the print book are set aside at the Main Library Q&A Desk on the ground floor. Visit the Main Library at 449 Broadway during service hours and a staff member can help you check out a copy. How to get the e-book or digital audiobook: This month’s book is available as an e-book and digital audiobook through Libby and Hoopla. The City of Cambridge is notifying residents, businesses, and visitors of street closures and traffic impacts September 27 and 28 due to Arts in the Park, S.S. Cosmas and Damian Society Open House, Paddy's Cambridge Classic 5K, and the Rib Festival.
