Apply to DHSP Summer Camps and Programs
The Department of Human Service Programs (DHSP) offers summer camps and programs to Cambridge children and youth in Kindergarten through 8th grade. At these summer camps, children and youth learn new skills, make connections, and have fun! Activities include art, sports, swimming, field trips, and more. All DHSP summer camps and programs are filled through a lottery process. The online application process closes Sunday March 3.
Ellen Pinsky and Michael Slevin present: Driven to Write (Main)
Harvard Book Store and the Cambridge Public Library welcome Ellen Pinsky and Michael Slevin, co-editors of the highly praised essay collection Driven to Write: 45 Writers on the Motives and Mysteries of their Craft. They will be joined for a panel discussion with several of the book's contributors including, Robert Pinsky, award-winning author of over twenty volumes of poetry, Stephen Greenblatt, Harvard professor and author of Dark Renaissance, Ha Jin, the William Fairfield Warren Distinguished Professor in English and Creative Writing at Boston University, and Sigrid Nunez, National Book Award-winning author of The Friend. This panel will be moderated by Rachel Dillon, poet and the managing editor of Ploughshares.

Tween Back to School Bag Charms
We're getting ready to go back to school with some DIY bag charms! Join us at the Main Library in the Curious George Room on Saturday, September 13th to make your own cool charm to attach to your backpack or tote. All materials are provided. This program is for ages 9 - 12. No tickets are required.
Free Workshops: How To Start Your Art Career
Are you starting your career as an artist in Cambridge? Cambridge Arts and the city's Community Development Department are offering free workshops to help emerging artists with financial literacy, artistic identity, grant writing, marketing, advocacy, and wellness. Workshops will be offered online during the months of October, November, and February.
