The Economic Opportunity and Development Division works with a variety of local organizations and professional groups to provide business development programs and services to Cambridge residents, entrepreneurs, and businesses.

Please note - Registrations close 2 HOURS BEFORE the workshop begins (unless otherwise noted below). Classes may be canceled or postponed due to lack of registration. Please call the Division at 617/349-4637 to check the status of a workshop.  

All workshops are free for Cambridge business owners and residents unless otherwise noted.

From Records to Results: Turn Numbers into Growth

  • Description: Learn how to complete a monthly financial check-up for your small business! This workshop will help business owners identify tools to make better financial decisions and help increase the value of your business. This workshop is a part of the City's Small Business Financial Workshop series. All four workshops are available to businesses at all stages. Business owners do not need to attend all four workshops. However, this series is designed to build on the lessons from the previous workshop. Cambridge-based businesses will be prioritized.

Small Business Tax Webinar

  • Location: Virtual via Zoom. 
  • Description: Learn the essentials of managing your records, understanding key tax forms, and confidently filing as a self-employed entrepreneur (LLC). This workshop gives Cambridge business owners practical tools to simplify tax season and stay financially organized. This workshop is a part of the City's Small Business Financial Workshop series. Are You Bankable? Preparing your business for a loan
