NOTICE OF A PUBLIC HEARING
Removal of Public Shade Trees
City of Cambridge, Department of Public Works
Pursuant to Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 87, Sections 3 and 4, a public hearing will be held on Wednesday, April 19th, 2017 at 5:30 p.m. at the DPW Main Conference Room at 147 Hampshire Street, Cambridge, Mass., to consider the removal of the following public tree(s):
1. 389 Binney St – Removal of 6.5” linden due to private property development and streetscape improvements. Location will be replanted.
2. 145 Broadway – Removal of 2 lindens (3” & 2.5”) due to private property development and streetscape improvements. Location will be replanted.
3. 145 Broadway (in street median) – Removal of 4 crabapple (7.1”, 4.7”, 6.2”, & 8”) trees due to private property development and streetscape improvements.
4. 145 Broadway (in Galilei Way street median) – Removal of 3 crabapple (9.8”, 8.7”, & 6.3”) trees due to private property development and streetscape improvements.
The tree(s) identified above have been posted for public inspection. Any objections to their removal must be submitted in writing to the City Arborist, prior to or during the hearing.
