Changes to Weekend COVID-19 Case Reporting

caution sign The information on this page may be outdated as it was published 2 years ago.

Effective May 7, 2022, the Cambridge Public Health Department will transition to updating case data on the Cambridge COVID-19 Data Center from Monday - Friday as opposed to the current 7-day update.

This will result in a higher number of cases reported on Mondays, as the reporting period will span Saturday and Sunday. However, it will not change or lower the reported case count. Cases will continue to be charted on the graphs according to their test date. This is the system that the Massachusetts Department of Public Health (MDPH) currently uses to update its public-facing data.

Case data from Friday, Saturday, and Sunday are added to the dashboard on Monday. When Monday is a scheduled holiday, the Friday through Monday case, testing, and death data will be posted on Tuesdays.

Access the Cambridge COVID-19 Data Center here.
