Common Victualler Licenses

License

Every food service establishment with the capabilities for cooking, preparing, and serving food and which provides seating for the immediate consumption therein, is required to have a Common Victualler License.  Common Victualler Licenses are issued pursuant to and in accordance with Massachusetts General Laws Ch. 140, §§ 2-9. It takes approximately four to six weeks for an application to be processed and a license to be issued, if approved.

You should apply for an Entertainment License and Alcohol License, if applicable, simultaneously with the Common Victualler.
