The Traffic, Parking, and Transportation Department (TP+T) held a virtual community meeting on January 25 to discuss safety improvements to Mass Ave, from Roseland St. to Beech St. in Porter Square as part of the City’s Cycling Safety Ordinance.  The ordinance calls for the installation of separated bike lanes at specific locations, including all of Mass. Ave.

Materials presented at the community meeting have been posted on the project page, including the video presentation and a copy of the presentation slides.

TP+T is also seeking community input regarding safety improvements in Porter Square through an online survey, which is available through the project page. The survey includes both a General Feedback survey and a Business Feedback survey for businesses and their employees, offices (i.e., medical, dental), houses of worship, and other institutions with curbside needs.

TP+T hopes to receive additional feedback on a series of potential street layouts intended to improve safety and reliability for all users.
