New Year's Holiday Closure, Trash Schedule & Tree Pick-Up Information

Cambridge City Hall

Cambridge city offices will be closed Thursday, Jan. 1 for New Year’s Day holiday. There will be no trash or recycling collection on Thursday, Jan. 1, 2015 and the schedule will be delayed one day for the remainder of the week.

Street cleaning operations have stopped for the winter and will resume in April 2015.

The Recycling Drop-off Center will not be open on Thursday, Jan. 1.  

Curbside collection of bare Christmas trees (weather permitting through Jan. 16, on your regular trash/recycling dayDecorations and stands must be removed and trees should not be in a plastic bag. Trees should be placed at the curb by 7 a.m. on collection day or after 6 p.m. the night before.  Click here for more info.  

Residents can also bring bare trees to the Recycling Center during open hours (Tues/Thurs 4 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. and Sat 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.) from Dec. 27 – Jan. 31, 2015.

Cambridge Cemetery will have gates open from 7 a.m. - 5 p.m. throughout the holiday season.  Cemetery and Public Works Administrative Offices will be closed on Thursday, Jan. 1.
