Healthy Trees for a Healthy Cambridge
Street trees cool the city, absorb pollution, and make our neighborhoods more livable! Vote to plant 100 new trees & build tree wells in the areas that need them most, along with educational signage so you can learn about your “green neighbors."
COA Expanded Programming
The pilot program, open to Cambridge residents ages 60 and older, will operate on Thursdays and Fridays from November 6, 2025 through January 16, 2026. During the pilot, the Russell Youth and Community Center (680 Huron Ave.) will be staffed and open from 9 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. for older adults to participate in a selection of classes and to enjoy the building’s common area.
Pole and Conduit Commission
The Pole and Conduit Commission regulates the installation and maintenance of electrical poles and underground conduits for City property.
15th Annual Cambridge MLK Day of Service and Learning
For 14 years volunteers have been coming together on MLK DAY to provide critical necessities to people served by more than 70 organizations in Cambridge and surrounding towns. In 2024, more than 1,250 volunteers lent their helping hands during the Cambridge MLK Day of Service. The annual goal is to create an experience that brings the community together for the sole purpose of caring for our neighbors.
Fall 2025 Flu and COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic
During the month of October, the Cambridge Public Health Department is offering COVID-19 and flu vaccines to adults and children who live in Cambridge. Everyone 6 months and older can get flu and COVID-19 vaccines this fall.
