Cambridge Preschool Program Application Opens on December 1.
The Cambridge Preschool Program (CPP), also known as universal preschool, will provide free preschool to Cambridge 4-year-olds and some 3-year-olds beginning in the 2024-2025 school year. CPP will offer families a streamlined, single application process where they can apply to a variety of Cambridge-based preschool programs. Families can apply to CPP from December 1 – January 15.

The Department of Public Works has announced changes to its sewer connection fees that will take effect on March 1, 2025. A sewer connection fee is a one-time charge assessed as part of a building permit, based on the number of plumbing fixtures that connect to the sewer.

How Would You Spend $1 Million to Improve Cambridge? Vote on Participatory Budgeting Projects December 1-11 2022.
Participatory Budgeting is a democratic process that empowers community members to decide how to spend part of a public budget. In June and July 2022, community members submitted 1,320 ideas on how to spend $1 million of the City of Cambridge’s FY24 Capital Budget. From August to November, over 70 volunteer PB Delegates worked on five committees to research and evaluate those ideas and develop 20 final proposals for the PB ballot.
Youth Dungeons and Dragons Session 1/3 (Valente Branch)
Youth ages 10-16 are welcome to join for three sessions of cooperative role-play and storytelling as we build out skills playing the table-top game DnD. The first session will include a character-building introduction followed by play continued into the next two sessions. No prior DnD experience is required, and experienced players are also welcome to join. Registration is required, as the program is capped at 8 players. Please plan to attend all sessions! The City of Cambridge does not discriminate, including on the basis of disability. Update on Dec. 1 Pfizer Vaccine and Flu Clinic at King Open School
Due to high demand at the November 10 vaccination clinic, and in order to ensure those who received their first dose can receive their second dose on December 1, walk-in COVID-19 vaccine and flu shots will not be available at the December 1 clinic.
