All are invited to remember and celebrate the life and work of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. at the City of Cambridge's annual Martin Luther King Day Commemoration and Remembrance, organized by the Cambridge Peace Commission.

The “Getting to Net Zero” Task Force will advise the City Manager on ways to advance the goal of putting Cambridge on the trajectory towards becoming a “net zero community”, with focus on carbon emissions from building operations.

Cool Spots are public spaces where community members are encouraged to gather, connect, and cool off. In the first round of implementation completed in June 2025, four pilot locations for Cool Spots have been launched across the City.

TP+T has received a petition from a group of Cambridge residents requesting that we add "Parking by Permit Only" signs in the Cambridge Highlands. The City is conducting a survey to gauge neighborhood interest in this change.

Join the Collins Branch Library in collaboration with the Cambridge Climate Leaders Initiative for a monthly discussion of a climate-related topic. Each month the group will discuss a book on the topic at hand then hear about a related local program or initiative and how you can take action. Inman Street from Hampshire St to Broadway, is included in the City’s Five-Year Plan for sidewalk and street reconstruction. Come join City staff on Wednesday, April 15, 2026 for an In Person Community Meeting.

The Community-Wide GHG Inventory helps the City of Cambridge benchmark community-wide emissions, and provides a necessary foundation that enables Cambridge to track progress towards emission reduction goals, and engage specific market sectors in actions to reduce emissions.
