Riverbend Park will continue to open for pedestrian and cyclist use on Saturdays and Sundays through November 29, 2020 and Memorial Drive will be closed to vehicular traffic from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Purchase submersible wheelchairs for people with mobility disabilities to use for swimming at the Gold Star Pool and on beach field trips. These wheelchairs will increase access to physical activity, recreation, and community participation.

What’s all this fuss about fermented foods? Why are fermented foods essential for gut health, and why are they so expensive? In this class, Mo Katz-Christy will walk you through how to use any old vegetables to make delicious and nutritious fermented foods that replenish the microbiome, regulate our immune system, and more! Leave with a jar of kraut that you can share with your household. Mo Katz-Christy (they/them) is a queer Ashkenazi Jewish herbalist born and raised in Cambridge, MA on unceded Massachusett land. They approach herbalism by connecting folks to the knowledge they already have about their body and herbs through working with kitchen medicine, ancestral traditions, and mulberries falling on the sidewalk! Mo graduated from a three-year clinical herbalism program at the Vermont Center for Integrative Herbalism in 2022. They work one-on-one with clients to address the root imbalances that are causing dysregulation and to promote long-term healing, focusing on gut health. The Cambridge Police Department announced that 30 new police officers graduated on Thursday, June 13, 2024, from the sixth Cambridge-Northeastern Police Academy class following a special graduation ceremony that was held at Northeastern University. The graduating officers join their respective departments after successfully completing 23 weeks of training, which started in January 2024. The sixth class includes 9 new Cambridge Police officers

Install 48 speed humps on key streets in Cambridge to reduce vehicle speeds. Speed humps enhance pedestrian safety, create safer, more livable neighborhoods. This project aims to address speeding issues and improve overall road safety.
