Dear Neighbor,

The Community Development Department (CDD) has previously received requests for traffic calming on Harvey Street.  City staff held a community meeting on November 4th, 2015 where neighborhood residents expressed their concerns regarding the speed of vehicles on Harvey Street as well pedestrian safety.  Since the community meeting in November 2015, city staff have also received messages from residents of Harvey Street both supporting the idea of traffic calming and others rejecting any possible changes to the street.

CDD has scheduled a second community meeting on Wednesday March 16 at 6:30 pm at the Cornerstone Village Co-Housing 175-195 Harvey St, Cambridge, MA

The focus of this 2nd meeting is to discuss a range of possible alternatives that could be implemented on Harvey Street. Options include traffic calming tools as well as an alternative that includes no changes.

Please come to the meeting and share your opinions regarding Harvey Street with other community members. Feel free to contact us with questions or comments (see below).
