We are planning for the future of parks and open spaces in Cambridge. In April and May, the planning team is hosting a series of online and in-park visioning activities to hear about what you would like to see in our parks.

Young people are some of our most dedicated and frequent park visitors, so at our in-park visioning pop ups we are asking them to show us what their dream park would look like. One dream park was made entirely of candy, another featured rides like a giant spinning snake and a human hamster wheel. Another dream park designer drew a robot play structure shaped with slides and rock-climbing walls for legs.

No matter your age, we hope to hear about your visions for the future of our parks and open spaces. If you’d like to share your park vision, you can download a blank “dream park” page and send us your drawing. Tag us on social media (@CDDat344 on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram) or send your drawing to neighborhood planner Lev McCarthy at lmccarthy@cambridgema.gov.

There are many other ways to get involved in the Our Parks, Our Plan. You can fill out the online Park Use and Access survey to help us understand what uses and design features you would like to see in your local parks, and how easy or difficult it is for you to visit parks.
