Waverly Street Extension and Path

Waverly Street Extension path

This project reconstructed about 400 feet of the Waverly Street Extension along the Purrington rail spur. In the northern portion of this corridor, MIT constructed a multi-use path between two graduate student dormitories as part of its permitting for a dormitory project. As part of this project, multi-modal facilities were extended in the southern portion of the corridor to Erie Street, along with a reconstructed roadway allowing vehicle access to adjacent properties and to Merriam Street.

Construction of the Waverly Street Extension began in summer 2014 and was completed in 2015.

This project has been completed. No further updates to this project page will be made.
