Anyone wanting to make or change a cut in the curb of the street, such as in constructing, moving or removing a driveway must first obtain a permit from the City of Cambridge.
Mass Ave Partial Construction
As part of the Cycling Safety Ordinance, the City is implementing separated bike lanes on Mass Ave. from Dudley to Beech and Roseland to Waterhouse.

Waterhouse Street Traffic Calming
Completed in 2013, in addition to sidewalk and roadway reconstruction, the project includes traffic calming elements to reduce vehicle speeds and enhance safety for pedestrians.
8 - Baldwin
Baldwin is a small, moderate-density residential neighborhood stretching from Harvard Square to Porter Square and to the Cambridge/Somerville border to the east. While it is predominantly residential, it also contains large portions of the Harvard University and Lesley University campuses.
Monsignor O'Brien Highway Reconstruction - Phase 2A (Lechmere Canal Outfall)
In order to develop Cambridge Crossing, DivcoWest was required to make improvements to Monsignor O’Brien Highway from Third Street to Museum Way. These improvements have included subsurface and surface infrastructure upgrades. This section of Monsignor O’Brien Highway is being transformed from a highway into a tree lined boulevard with bicycle lanes/cycle tracks, new sidewalks and significantly improved pedestrian crossings. Due to the construction associated with the MBTA’s Green Line Extension (GLX) Project, these improvements have been phased over several years.
