Vacant Storefront Creative Design Contest

The Cambridge Vacant Storefront Creative Design Contest, a program designed by the Community Development Department and Cambridge Arts, aims to energize neighborhoods and activate commercial districts by filling empty storefront windows with reproductions of locally-made art.

Out of over 400 original art work submissions, a jury selected 13 semi-finalists, and the Cambridge community determined the 5 winning designs through a public vote. Cambridge property owners can choose a design from the 5 finalists to print and display in their vacant storefronts.

To request a design to display in your vacant storefront, contact Pardis Saffari, Senior Economic Development Manager, at psaffari@cambridgema.gov
