Shuttles Open to the Public

Many private shuttles in Cambridge are open to public. Most are fare-free and require no tickets; for the Longwood CollectiveM2, you may need to buy a physical ticket to board. 

EZRide shuttle / Charles River Transportation Management Association

EZRide travels between North Station, Lechmere, CambridgeSide Mall, Kendall/MIT station, and Cambridgeport on weekdays all-day. On weekends all-day, EZRide travels between Lechmere, CambridgeSide Mall, and Kendall/MIT station.

Alewife Loop / Alewife TMA

The Loop Shuttle travels between Alewife station and locations in the Alewife Quadrangle, on Concord Avenue, Fawcett Street, Smith Place, and nearby streets on weekdays during AM and PM peak hours.

M2 Shuttle / Longwood Collective (formerly MASCO)

The M2 travels between Harvard station, Central, Kenmore, and Longwood Medical Area on weekdays and Saturdays.

The M2 is a fare-paid route. You must either have a valid ID or purchase a ticket to ride the M2. The one-ride ticket costs $4 each. In Cambridge, you can purchase a ticket at the Finance Department Cashier's office at City Hall, 795 Massachusetts Avenue. You can find purchase locations and more information here.
