NOTICE: CDD is open to the public, by appointment only, on Mondays and Wednesdays from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Appointments are available for affordable housing, zoning, business and entrepreneurship, Cambridge Energy Alliance, or general planning matters. If you need to meet with a specific person, please contact them directly to schedule an appointment. Housing appointments can be made by phone at 617-349-4622 or by email at housing@cambridgema.gov. Appointments for all other CDD matters can be made by phone at 617-349-4600 or by email at CDDat344@cambridgema.gov.

The Community Development Department (CDD) is the planning agency for the City of Cambridge. CDD includes five programmatic divisions - Community Planning, Economic Development, Environmental and Transportation Planning, Housing, and Zoning and Development - that work to enhance the character and diversity of the city's neighborhoods, preserve and create affordable housing, promote accessible and sustainable mobility, build environmental resilience, and foster economic vitality.
